Keeping Your Cards Secure and Protected

Sound Credit Union partners with Falcon Fraud Protection to provide enhanced security by continuously monitoring your card transactions. This service helps identify and stop suspicious activity before you're even aware of it.

If you have a Sound Credit Union debit or credit card, you are automatically enrolled. If any transactions occur on your card that appear suspicious or fall outside of your normal spending patterns, Falcon Fraud Protection may contact you to confirm the transaction(s).

If Falcon Fraud Protection needs to confirm this activity with you, you'll be notified by:

1. Text Alert

When suspicious activity is noticed, you’ll receive a text message at the cell phone number registered on your account. The message will provide details about the transaction, including the last four digits of the card used, the transaction amount, and the merchant name.

You will receive a text from the 5-digit short code 23618.

5-Minute Response Window

You’ll have 5 minutes to reply with “YES” if you authorized the transaction or “NO” if you did not. You can also choose to opt out by replying “STOP.”

2. Phone Call

If we don’t hear from you within 5 minutes, we’ll call the mobile number on file. If there’s no answer, we will then call your home number on file. The number will display as (844) 332-4899.

3. Voice Message

If there's no answer, a message will be left that includes a case number and a phone number for you to call and verify the transaction. You can also contact us during normal business hours to review your account.
